Synopsis for "Sons of the Father"

The Mayor suspends Jake for operating on Jarrod without license. In Asgard, Zarrko tries to convince Balder that Thor's plans will lead to disaster, while Thor orders Volstagg to Earth to watch over Tarene. Thor travels to meet the Council Elite, a group of gods to whom Odin once belonged. Zeus offers Thor a Council seat, but Shiva demands that Thor undergo Koronkakkta, a test to determine if he is worthy. Thor is transported through different settings, testing his awareness and insight of lesser beings. He passes the early tests, but then freely feeds a starving people, only for them to offer to sacrifice their children to him. When the Council tells Thor that he failed the test by making the people too dependent on him, Thor leaves angrily. Back on Earth, Jake confronts Tarene and Volstagg, demanding an opportunity to speak to Thor. Tarene transports them to Asgard. There, Thor counters Jake's warning of Asgard's growing danger to Earth by showing him that Neffethesk has successfully reattached Jarrod's amputated leg. Thor orders Tarene to fly Jake home. From the skies, Jake sees Zarrko in the prison yard and Zarrko sees him.
