Angela and Serah return to Windsor Castle to report on their hunt for Witchbreed, only for Angela to turn and kill King James himself, who reveals himself to be Witchbreed. Angela finally puts him down for good, and they take their leave, heading to the Mermaid Tavern in London. There they begin asking questions and manage to lure out a new type of monster - Faustians. People who trade their souls for power and monstrous forms. As Angela and Serah kill Captain Barnes, the being behind the Faustians reveals herself - The Enchantress. She tells Angela that before all is said and done, Serah will be nothing but ash.
Solicit Synopsis
• In the altered realms of BATTLEWORLD, Angela and Sera are WITCH HUNTERS, the scourges of King James’ England, 1602. • In a land beset by magic and monstrosity, they seek a new and seductive evil—not witchbreed, but deal-making FAUSTIANS, who bargain with ancient creatures for unnatural power! • Moral ambiguity? Fancy allusions? Marguerite making the most of that English degree? • tl;dr – try 1602 WITCH HUNTER ANGELA #1!
