History
Deo was once the religious center of a confederation of planets, the rest of whose civilizations were destroyed by a space armada of alien warships. The One Above All (not the Celestial), then providing the planet with energy, exhausted himself and died in creating a wall over the world. Since then, the Deonists have captured other "gods" for use as energy.
