Synopsis
The Deviant Skrulls have agents in multiple key locations, causing the destruction of both Damocles Base and the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, the Baxter Building and Avengers Mansion, before moving on to Washington, D.C. Hawkeye, Captain Marvel and Wasp are shot down over Washington, D.C. and are attacked by Super Deviant Skrulls, and then captured and brought before "Captain America." Iron Man's armor has been infected by a virus and the Secret Warriors have been taken out by Veranke. They are saved by Maria Hill, who then with Tony's help manages to reboot his armor. In Washington, the Skrull posing as Captain America broadcasts to the world that the Deviant Skrulls are there to help, and that they must embrace change. Iron Man arrives and blasts with them a type of energy that causes them all to revert to their true forms, and Thor returns, destroying the Skrull ship. The two Captain America's face off, but Veranke is concerned because the heroes are gathering. She contacts the Scientist Supreme Skrull and has him activate the weapon that A.I.M. had built, sending a signal to attack every human on Earth. Thor flies up into orbit and destroys the satellites, stopping the signal. With their weapon destroyed, the Avengers rally, defeating the Deviant Skrulls. They being hunting down the remaining Deviant Skrulls and imprison the Super Deviant Skrulls in 42. Despite winning, Captain America walks off.
